Mental Blocks are the Messenger - An Advantage not an Adversity

Mental blocks can serve as valuable signals directing us towards areas in our sports and athletics, that may be hindering our progress. They often point to underlying distractions or beliefs that are impeding our growth and potential. The mental block is surfacing as an opportunity to move through an inner dialogue that is happening, and possibly overshadowing ones ability to reach their fullest potential.


When we acknowledge and face these mental obstacles, we begin to delve deeper into our own self awareness and work towards resolving internal systems that are sabotaging the athlete. Mental blocks are the messenger for a system of self talk and self doubt that has perpetuated itself within the framework of the athlete.


Transforming a mental block into a mental strength is a powerful process that involves reframing our perspective. This process is one that brings strength to the athlete and ultimately helps them become a stronger version of themselves. The perceived adversity, is in reality an advantage to the athlete. The Mental Block is the Messenger, it will teach, guide and shed light on something deeper. With the help of my mental performance coaching and my process, the athlete begins to view the mental challenge as an opportunity. Growth and transformation will take place during this process as the athlete harnesses a new found self awareness. Embracing these adversities can lead to profound personal development and ultimately improved performance, consistency, and commitment.
